ALPHA ZONE

The Alpha Zone project is situated within the densely populated residential area of Khan-Uul district. Despite the limited site area, our task was to accommodate approximately 500 flats along with commercial and retail stores. The design solution centers around the creation of an open semi-public courtyard space, which serves as a communal area.

To maximize the available space, car parks and vehicle accesses were planned along the outer perimeter of the site, allowing the inner courtyard to be free from vehicular traffic. The landscape design of this semi-public space is dynamic and engaging, incorporating vertical movements and pocket spaces dedicated to playgrounds and sports facilities. These design elements serve to break away from the rigid massing of the blocks, giving a sense of openness and freedom within the development.

The project not only addresses the residential and commercial needs of the community but also prioritizes the creation of a vibrant and inclusive shared space. This architectural endeavor ensures that the residents have access to a lively and interactive courtyard, promoting social interaction, recreation, and a sense of belonging.
